Power comes from a 404 kW (550 PS) 5.0l V8 supercharged engine that takes the Range Rover Velar SVAutobiography Dynamic edition from 0-100 km/h in 4.5 s (0-96 km/h in 4.3 s), and is capable of a top speed of 274 km/h. It has been launched in the UK. Starting today, it will be on sales for a limited period – 1 year. Price in the UK starts from £86,120 OTR (Rs 80 lakhs).
While comfort is a given in its new avatar, Range Rover Velar SVAutobiography Dynamic edition features updates to brake and suspension components, and specially curated settings for its powertrain and safety systems for performance agility and go-anywhere capability.
2019 Range Rover Velar SVAutobiography Dynamic Edition features a new front bumper with larger air intakes to service the V8 Supercharged engine and cool its uprated braking system. A new grille and lower side mouldings, and a revised rear bumper with integrated quad exhaust finishers are new. Range Rover lettering is enhanced on the mid size SUV.
New Velar SVAutobiography Dynamic Edition is available in six exterior colours: Firenze Red; Santorini Black; Corris Grey; Fuji White; Indus Silver and, Satin Byron Blue, by special order. All exteriors are combined with a contrast Narvik Black roof as standard. The 82 l fuel tank points to driving range of at least 483 km. Forged aluminium 21” wheels are on offer, and 22” wheels in Silver Sparkle finish and diamond-turned edging are available as optionional.
The larger 395 mm front and 396 mm diameter rear brake discs are designed to dissipate heat more effectively through higher braking forces. Red brake calipers (four-piston at the front, sliding at the rear) are hard to miss. Gloss Black calipers are on offer as optional. On the inside, one’s greeted by twin-stitched, perforated and quilted Windsor leather in Ebony, Cirrus, Vintage Tan and Pimento colour choices. SVAutobiography Dynamic Edition’s 20-way adjustable, heated and cooled front seats with memory and massage functions are offered as standard.
The sports steering wheel features a special rim and aluminium gear shift paddles. The optional carbon fibre interior is available. AWD system, Active Rear Locking Differential, eight-speed transmission, steering and air suspension are tuned specifically for SVAutobiography Dynamic Edition. The bespoke SV Variable Active Exhaust System features valve technology to optimise the exhaust note, and is 7.1 kg lighter than the standard design.
