Prominent crease lines are seen on the hood while it also gets a rear diffuser and chunky silver bumper lip. Interiors of the Skoda Kamiq boast of ambient lighting in white, red and copper. Seating is in Suedia microfiber with contrasting stitching accents while other interior features include a touchscreen infotainment system in 6.5”, 8.0” or 9.2” size options. There is also a 10.25” Virtual Cockpit digital instrument cluster as an option. Heated seats at the front and rear, heated steering wheel and windscreen are also a part of its onboard features.

It sits on a 2,651mm long wheelbase contributing to a comfortable cabin with 73mm knee room for passengers at the rear and a boot space of 400 liters which can be increased to 1,395 liters with rear seats folded flat. Lane keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking and optional driver alert fatigue detection system are among its safety features.

Engine specifications on the new Skoda Kamiq also get detailed. These include both petrol and diesel engine options. The 1 liter, 3 cylinder petrol engine offers 115PS power and 200 Nm torque mated to a 6 speed manual transmission or a 7 speed DSG. The 1.5 liter TSI petrol engine gives out 150 PS power and 250 Nm torque while the 1.6 liter TDI diesel engine is capable of 115 PS power and 250 Nm torque mated to a 6 speed manual and a 7 speed DSG automatic.

Skoda Kamiq will be presented in India at the 2020 Auto Expo, with launch later by Diwali 2020. Once launched, it will face competition from the likes of Hyundai Creta, Renault Captur and Nissan Kicks.
