The latest spyshots of Hyundai Creta have shed light on the upcoming compact SUV’s features. It can be observed that the vehicle is offered with two top end trims like in Verna 4S.
The first top-end trim is likely to be called as SX. It comes with 16-inch alloy wheels, dual-tone interior with black-beige dashboard, multifunction steering wheel, a comprehensive infotainment system with no touchscreen functionality, reverse parking camera and sensors (with display on rear view mirror), automatic climate control and a regular radio antenna.
In a bid to take the premium appeal to a level higher a second top-end version would also be offered and is likely to be named SX (O). This trim will add a touchscreen infotainment system which supports reverse camera, start/stop button with keyless entry and go, upmarket shark fin radio antenna, leather wrapped steering wheel, 17-inch diamond cut alloy wheels and additional chrome accents on the outside.
SX trim misses out on touchscreen infotainment, 17-inch alloy wheels, start/stop button, etc.Creta would borrow the 1.6-litre petrol and diesel engines from Verna with 6-speed manual and 4-speed automatic options. A base diesel variant with the 1.4-litre unit could be introduced at a later stage.
With an estimated price range of INR 8 – 12 lakhs (ex-showroom), Creta would be Hyundai India’s next big growth driver.
