Mahindra XUV300 bookings cross 13k – Enquiries cross 2.5L

Launched exactly a month ago, on 14th Feb 2019, Mahindra today revealed that their new XUV300 SUV has met roaring success. Over 13,000 confirmed bookings and more than 2.5 lakh enquiries.

Veejay Ram Nakra, Chief of Sales & Marketing, Automotive Division, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. said, “We are extremely happy with the overwhelming response to the XUV300. In a highly competitive segment such as the Compact SUV, we have received over 13,000 bookings and in the very first month itself, we have entered into the top 3.

This is in-line with our objective of achieving 15 to 20% share of this segment and reaffirms the fact that the XUV300 proposition has resonated well with the customers. What is also encouraging is that over 75% of our bookings are for the top end variants of the XUV300.”

Mahindra is now gearing to launch XUV300 AMT variant. The new XUV300 is priced from Rs.7.9 lakhs for its base W4 petrol and Rs.8.5 lakhs for the base diesel variant. As of now XUV300 only gets manual transmission option. But soon, both petrol and diesel option will get AMT. The same has been spied at a dealer. The AMT unit for Mahindra XUV300 will be sourced from Magnetti-Marelli, the Italian automotive component manufacturer.

XUV300 is already the 2nd best selling car in the company line-up for Feb 2019.

In terms of exterior and interior design elements, the XUV300 AMT will be similar to its manual transmission counterpart with cheetah inspired exteriors. It is seen with a large front grille, headlamps flanked by two fog lamps and boomerang shaped LED DRLs. The top of the line W8 variant receives a sunroof and roof rails and sits on 17” diamond cut alloy wheels.

Interiors are also similar with black and beige color scheme, silver accents on dashboard and central console along with piano black accents on door arm rests. The touchscreen infotainment system supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto while dual zone climate control, a first in segment feature, allows for individual cooling preferences among driver, co driver and passengers.

XUV300 sales compared to rivals for Feb 2019.

Engine options on the Mahindra XUV300 AMT are also the same and include a 1.2 liter turbocharged petrol engine offering110 PS power at 5,000 rpm and 200 NM torque at 2,000-3,000 rpm.
