Mahindra and Mahindra, leading Indian multinational manufacturers of SUVs, tractors, pick-ups, electrical and commercial vehicles has announced to help in relief operations of Nepal earthquake. The company has sent a host of tractors and pick-ups to the Nepal Government to aid in rehabilitation operations.
Following the devastating earthquake and a multitude of after-shocks that rocked Nepal over the weekend, India has stepped forward to help in rescue and rehabilitation work. The earthquake has killed over 2,500 persons and caused widespread damage all across the nation triggering panic among the people.
Auto major Mahindra & Mahindra have offered tractors and pick-up vehicles to the Nepal Government through the company’s local dealers to support this rehabilitation work while the company has also offered assistance to various states and districts in Northern India for the same purpose.

For immediate relief, M&M will be undertaking these activities and have instructed their dealers in Nepal and Bihar to offer vehicles to authorities and relief agencies. In the second phase of rehabilitation, the company will also be setting apart monetary contributions to be made to the cause as has been announced by Anand Mahindra, chairman of Mahindra Group.
