New Force Gurkha Xplorer and Xpedetion Editions launched in India

?New Force Gurkha facelift has been officially launched in India where it is seen with a host of exterior updates and upgraded mechanics thus propelling it to a higher level as compared to its earlier counterparts.

New Force Gurkha is being presented in two options – Soft Top and Hard Top. Both New Force Gurkha Xplorer and Xpedetion Editions are available in soft top as well as hard top. The Xplorer is available in 3 door format while the Xpedetion is available in 5-door format. Prices start from INR 8.38 lakh.

New Force Gurkha is both tough and good looking in its stance and lives upto its name which is after one of the fiercest fighters in the world the ‘Gurkhas’. It is seen with a massive front end, steel bumpers and fog lamps along with headlights fitted with a steel grille.

A raised suspension adds to its aggressive appeal along with new scuff plates which are seen on its sides. A feature seen on the new Force Gurkha which really stands apart is its snorkel intakes which are positioned ahead of the A Pillar on driver side. At the rear, are bumper mounted tail lamps, new door mounted spare wheel and a large windshield.

Interiors receive a 4 spoke steering wheel, new design gear knobs and it is for the first time that a manual HVAC system will be evident. It also gets a new C-in C Chassis frame welded using robotic welding technique which is said to offer enhanced strength in bending and torsion.

Where engine specifications on new Force Gurkha are concerned, this will be a Mercedes OM 616 engine based 2.6 liter diesel engine with turbocharger and intercooler. The engine offers 85 bhp power at 3,200 rpm and 230 Nm torque mated to a G-28 5-speed all-synchromesh gearbox. This engine is BS IV compliant allowing the new Gurkha to comply with new emission regulations that come into effect in April.
